Q-Can I wear contact lenses while putting on this eye drop?

 During the treatment course, you can use contact lenses. But, while putting on this eye drop, you should remove the contact lenses.  You can wear them back after 15 minutes after applying this eye drop.

Q-Will I notice a change in my eye color after using this eye drop?

Yes. Prolonged use of this eye drop can lead to a change in color of the iris mainly brown. This change is prominent in people having mixed eye colors.  You will find this change visible more in one eye.  The change may stay forever. You will notice eyelashes to be thick and darkened eyelid color. Well, these changes are not permanent and restore to normal once you stop using this eye drop.

Q-Can other eye drops are used with this eye drop(Xalatan Eye Drop)?

If you are on other eye medications, then you can use them in combination with this eye drop. But, make sure you take a gap of 5 minutes between the application of two different eye drops.

Also, let your eye specialist know if you are using any other medication.

Q-For how long do I need to keep my eyes closed after instilling this eye drop?

After instilling these eye drops, you need to close the eyes for a minimum of two to three minutes to avoid spilling off this eye drop. It also helps the drops get absorbed properly in the eyes.

 Q-Do I need to keep this eye drop in the refrigerator?

Yes.  Before you open the bottle for the first time, refrigerated it at 2° to 8°C. Once you open the bottle, you can keep it at room temperature (25°C). Do not keep the bottle for more than 6 weeks.

Q-How much time this eye drop takes to start working?

You can see the eye pressure decreasing in 3 to 4 hours after instilling this eye drop. It will show its maximum effects within 8-12 hours.

Q-Can this eye drop be used in the morning?

For best results, you should use this eye drop in the evening hours. When you use this eye drop during evening hours for the initial days, you can see noticeable results in reducing the pressure built in your eyes.
