Zyvisc injection (Ophthalmic Solution) is a lubricant for eyes/artificial tears used to treat dry eyes. The eyes get dry when sufficient tears are not formed to keep the eyes lubricated. This eye drop is used to calm the irritation & burning sensation that occurs due to dry eyes. The eye drop maintains enough lubrication in the eyes.
This eye drop is used when required. The number of drops to be used is determined by the doctor. If you are using any other eye medicine in the same eye, then wait for a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes after applying this eye drop. It will prevent dilution.
If you find a broken seal on the new eye drop bottle, do not use it. Wash your hands and do not touch the dropper’s tip. It can pass on the infection to your eye. You may need to use this eye drop for the long term and it is safe to use it for the required period.
